Classical Music Discoveries, a classical music podcast, has reported that their broadcast of A Hopeful Place: A Song Cycle for Soprano & Chamber Orchestra has made their top 10 list for the most downloads for the month of August. The broadcast occurred on August 11th and has since received 134.6 million downloads! Opening of Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice’s musical Evita at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza

Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice’s mega-hit, Evita, will be presented by Cabrillo Music Theatre. Dates are Oct. 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22 & 23. Featuring a cast of 28, the musical will feature direction by Roger Castellano, choreography by Cheryl Baxter-Ratliff, music direction by Cassie Nickols and will be conducted by Dan Redfeld. This production also features the revised orchestrations by Andrew Lloyd Webber and David Cullen.

Andrew Lippa’s “The Addams Family” is presented by the Chaminade Players March, 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 & 13. Featuring a cast of 35, the show is directed by Yvette Bishop (Beauty & the Beast, Blood Bros. national tour) and choreographed by Bill Burns (Beauty and the Beast, The Producers) with music direction by Dan, who also conducts the 10 piece “Addams Orchestra”.
